The Richardson WORKHORSE range of vehicle transporter trailers boasts three unique models, designed for different and specific applications.

The 146CT15 evolved due to demand for a lightweight car transporter, able to be towed by most family cars, and has been designed to serve the hobby markets. With its skeletal chassis and press-braked runners, it is ideal for the transportation of lightweight rally cars and vintage vehicles and tractors.

The 166CT20T is favoured by the professionals. Frequently supplied to main franchise car dealers, and service and repair garages, the manually tilting body, removing the need for ramps, and optional winch makes the loading of vehicles, whether “runners” or not, a simple operation.

The 167C35T, fitted with three axles for maximum stability and a user friendly, electro hydraulic tilt bed, is popular with all business sectors engaged in the transport of heavy loads, from builders and groundworkers moving plant and machinery and building materials, through landscapers and ground maintenance contractors, all the way to professional vehicle transporters and breakdown recovery services.

Full width galvanised beam axles and independent suspension ensure easy towing and a smooth ride for every load.

Repairs and Services

Just as with your towing vehicle, it is best practise to keep your trailer regularly maintained, with a thorough service recommended at least once a year. If you want to keep your trailer in a safe and legal condition, we have a team of experienced engineers at your disposal. Please ring the office on 01904 470282 to book an appointment.

In the unfortunate event of an accident, we can get your trailer back on the road, and you back to work quicker than you can say, "Time is money!". If your trailer is involved in an accident, we can offer a collection and delivery service to the factory, where a damage report can be quickly compiled and the cost of repair estimated. In some cases, we can even supply you with a trailer from our hire fleet to keep you going whilst yours is off the road. Our staff have many years experience dealing with all aspects of repair work, including the preparation of insurance claims and liaising with insurance companies, leaving you to get on with what you do best: earning money. We are only a phone call away.

Spare Parts

Handy with a spanner? If you are an experienced mechanic, or just need a small part to get you back up and running, we can supply you with a multitude of spares, for most trailer models dating back many years, many available ex-stock and shippable within 24 hours of order. Please call our spares dept. with your requirements.

Trailer Hire

We know that not everybody needs a trailer every day, so no matter whether you want a trailer for 24 hours, a weekend, a week or six months, we have a model and tariff to suit your requirements. The whole fleet is maintained regularly to guarantee safety and reliability, and novices to towing are given basic instruction and guidelines to help them on their way.

The hire fleet is also available on a "TRY B 4 U BUY" scheme, whereby, if you want to convince yourself that a certain model of trailer really is the one for you, then you can hire the trailer for a short spell, and if you proceed to buy, we will refund the hire charge; you can't say fairer than that!
