Workhorse Box Van Trailers

The Richardson WORKHORSE range of Box Van trailers is popular with those who need the additional capacity of a van, but do not want the added expense of a second vehicle, or to sacrifice the familiar comforts of their family car or 4x4.

WORKHORSE Box Van trailers are employed by people from many diverse business sectors, from carpet retailers and plant wholesalers, through removal companies and mobile workshops, to corporate entertainment and motor sport enthusiasts. Customised units are frequently supplied as mobile shops for market traders and food retailers.

A new addition to the WORKHORSE range of Box Van trailers is the lightweight and compact 64BVU, an unbraked trailer with a gross weight of 750kg, and a payload of 530kg, ideal for, amongst other things, the discreet and weatherproof transport of tools and luggage.

The front section is aerodynamically designed to minimise wind resistance and maximise fuel economy, and independent suspension units provide a smooth ride, whether fully loaded or empty.

Repairs and Services

Just as with your towing vehicle, it is best practise to keep your trailer regularly maintained, with a thorough service recommended at least once a year. If you want to keep your trailer in a safe and legal condition, we have a team of experienced engineers at your disposal. Please ring the office on 01904 470282 to book an appointment.

In the unfortunate event of an accident, we can get your trailer back on the road, and you back to work quicker than you can say, "Time is money!". If your trailer is involved in an accident, we can offer a collection and delivery service to the factory, where a damage report can be quickly compiled and the cost of repair estimated. In some cases, we can even supply you with a trailer from our hire fleet to keep you going whilst yours is off the road. Our staff have many years experience dealing with all aspects of repair work, including the preparation of insurance claims and liaising with insurance companies, leaving you to get on with what you do best: earning money. We are only a phone call away.

Spare Parts

Handy with a spanner? If you are an experienced mechanic, or just need a small part to get you back up and running, we can supply you with a multitude of spares, for most trailer models dating back many years, many available ex-stock and shippable within 24 hours of order. Trailer Hire

We know that not everybody needs a trailer every day, so no matter whether you want a trailer for 24 hours, a weekend, a week or six months, we have a model and tariff to suit your requirements. The whole fleet is maintained regularly to guarantee safety and reliability, and novices to towing are given basic instruction and guidelines to help them on their way.

The hire fleet is also available on a "TRY B 4 U BUY" scheme, whereby, if you want to convince yourself that a certain model of trailer really is the one for you, then you can hire the trailer for a short spell, and if you proceed to buy, we will refund the hire charge; you can't say fairer than that!
